Our Practice

Midwife and Doula Services consists of a team of complementary healthcare professionals. Dana Ericson is the primary maternity services provider, handling all routine prenatal and childbirth care. Two physicians provide any necessary consultations and two additional Certified Nurse Midwives are available during the occasional time when Dana is away.

Our practice takes special interest in mothers carrying twins. In this case, care is co-managed between Dana and a consulting physician. We have had great success with achieving optimal birth weight and carrying babies to full-term.

Finally, since all births and waterbirths take place in a hospital-- usually Iowa Methodist Medical Center (IMMC)-- the hospital staff rounds out our team.
